Lilla Ego is a new neighborhood restaurant in Vasastan, where the love for Swedish food shines through in every dish. The two owners are award-winning chefs who serve luxurious food, at a very decent price level and in a cozy and informal environment.

ÖSTERMALMSHALLEN

In the pristine Swedish lands and waters, pure cuisine can be produced anywhere. But there’s probably nowhere else in Stockholm that you can find higher quality foods than in this temple of gastronomy here in the Östermalmshallen, east of the city - a much smaller, but more accommodating version of the Central Market Hall in Budapest.

Östermalmshallen was opened by King Oscar II in 1888, and these specialist delicatessens, butchers, greengrocers, etc have been stationed here under the one roof ever since - an ideal lunch spot for those hoping to get indoors away from the late-winter nippiness for a bit. The Gyldene Freden has served Swedish home cooking since 1722. Patrons include well-known local and foreign cultural personalities who have assembled in our historic Old Town premises to enjoy good food and an authentic atmosphere either everyday or for special occasions. We are proud of our heritage and tirelessly toil to develop classic foods for the modern palate. Our philosophy: It takes time to cook - and eat - good food. Our influences are international but our starting point is our take on Nordic cuisine with a keen respect for raw materials, their origin and the craft of cooking.

HERMANS

A green oasis located on a hill with a garden overviewing the city of Stockholm. Here you can enjoy an all you can eat vegetarian buffet and with a large selection of organic dishes and drinks. We even brew our own home made organic ale! During warm summer evenings we also barbecue in the garden. There is a large selection of homemade vegan desserts from our own bakery. During the summer months June-Aug (and hopefully even Sep) there are 110 seats indoors and 200 seats in the big garden. You can make a reservation from our homepage or through facebook. For parties of six or less we only offer drop in during the summer but for the rest of the year anyone can make a reservation.
The menu consists of a large selection of salads, gratin, potatoes, rice, homemade bread, two stews and organic tea and coffee. Drinks are not included. When we barbecue the bbq buffet is included in the dinner buffet.
You can reach us by walking distance from the slussen subway station or by bus from busstation Tjärhovsplan.
Opening hours are 11am-9pm daily.
We can assure you that the view from Hermans is a must see on a visit to Stockholm and that you will find this restaurant to be very special.
